Ingredients
- 3 Hass avocados, halved, pitted, and peeled
- 1 lime, juiced (reserve the juice)
- 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 1/2 tsp ground cumin
- 1/2 tsp cayenne
- 1/2 medium onion, diced
- 1/2 jalapeño, seeded and minced
- 2 Roma tomatoes, seeded and diced
- 1 Tbsp chopped cilantro
- 1 garlic clove, minced
Directions
- Place avocado flesh in a large bowl. Toss with lime juice to coat, then drain and reserve the juice.
- Using a potato masher, mash avocados with the salt, cumin, and cayenne to your preferred texture.
- Fold in onion, jalapeño, tomatoes, cilantro, and garlic.
- Stir in about 1 tablespoon of the reserved lime juice; taste and adjust seasoning.
- Let stand at room temperature for ~1 hour to meld flavors. Serve.
Eat with tortilla chips, duh!!
